Generative Moog Set #MusicMonday

The phrase “generative music” was coined by Brian Eno, of course. He used the phrase to describe ever-evolving, dynamic music created by a “system.” In this case, it’s on a Moog Mother-32 and Subhamicon. Here are more technical notes from Claus Gahrn:

  • Generative, ambient music on the Moog Mother-32 and Subharmonicon.
  • Patch notes: *
  • Mother-32:
  • KB – LFO Rate
  • LFO Tri – Mix 2
  • VC Mix – VCF
  • Cutoff * Subharmonicon:
  • SEQ 1 – Cutoff
  • SEQ 2 – VCO 1 In *
  • Mother-32 — Subharmonicon:
  • Assign (Sequencer Clock) – Clock In

Dyed chicks go for less than a dime

1 Comment and 2 Shares

These chicks, dyed in the egg before hatching, were sold as pets for 4 pesos (8 U.S. cents) at a market in Manila, The Philippines. WikiHow offers instructions for dying your own chicks, while The New York Times reports the downside of all that impulse-bought cuteness: humane societies overflowing with now-normal chickens a few weeks after Easter. indeed- they are adorable and common in less-than-first-world countries. OTOH so are the adult chickens. So it's only a bad idea if you aren't planning on raising it.
